Dena's Story
Although I was a Muncie transplant (1961-'73), the years I spent there were important ones. Muncie Central was only steps away from my immigrant Greek family's businesses (dry cleaners, flower shop, piano store) on the corner of Charles and High Streets, making the building itself feel like part of home base at the time.

I take my experiences at Muncie Central to be an important part of my life. The education I received there has served me for decades. And although I returned quickly to California after graduating from BSU, I have never forgotten Muncie's sweet, slow, fragrant small town life where springs meant the promise of warm weather and flowers everywhere, summers meant swimming at local pools and country clubs, and fall was an explosion of color and the prospect of exciting winter basketball season.
